A week in Sweden
4 juin 2007

Monday, May 7th

Like everyday of that week, I got up at 7.20 AM in order to take the subway at 8. The meeting was always at 8.30 at school, the Frans Schartaus gymnasium.

The school head greeted us there, presented us the school and what type of class existed there. After that reception, the Swedish teachers guided us through Stockholm to see the different districts and important places. At 12, we were back at the school to eat there, indeed the canteen is free in Sweden.

It wasn't as bad as expected, the quality was similar to the French one (but this is not free...). After that, we took the boat, as frequent as bus, to switch of island in order to visit the Vasa Museum, a museum based on a 380-year-old boat found in Stockholm bay in 1961 deep sunk but very well preserved. We had a little quiz to fill in order to visit the museum more actively. To follow, we went back to Slussen, the closer subway station. We were tired so nothing were organised in the evening, but I went with Fatou to visit her brothers and sister, and to meet her father (her parents were separated). All her family spoke french, better than English so we speak mostly French. We got back to home at 9.30 PM.
